I created this application to fill a gap. There are perfectly good applications out there for managing torrents on the android (TorrentFu and Transdroid) but neither of them offered a notification mechanism, you had to interact with them to find/queue up torrents. I wanted something that could tell me when something became available as a torrent, avoiding the need to continually look to see if it was there.
I needed something that could run on my phone, would do the trawling of torrent RSS feeds for me looking for particular matches, and alert me if it found anything. I could then download the torrent file and do whatever I needed to with it (like send it to uTorrent for download via TorrentFu). So I created this little android app that does exactly that, you give it some feeds, you give it some search phrases, you tell it how often to search and before you know it you’re being notified of torrents as they become available.
One final note; this is very much a work in progress and is my first android application, so I cannot promise anything, however I’m currently using it quite successfully (almost come to rely on it) and I’m constantly fixing bugs / improving functionality as time allows. I’m open to suggestions and feedback, as long as it’s constructive.
